You can stay at a chocolate-themed hotel in Bournemouth with sweet-making classes and free daily truffles for £34pppn

SWEET-toothed tourists can stay at a chocolate-themed hotel in Bournemouth for just £34 each a night – and you get free daily truffles.

The Chocolate Boutique Hotel, styled around the favourite snack, also has extras such as chocolate hampers and fountains you can request in you room, as well as cooking classes.

The hotel, just minutes from Bournemouth beach, was renovated after featuring on BBC's Interior Design Masters last year.

The 15 bedrooms are decorated in browns and creams, reminiscent of chocolate, and range from a single room to a double suite in size.

Breakfast is no longer included, but you can pay for a "Grab and Go" breakfast bag with a croissant, yoghurt and chocolate brownie, as well as orange juice.

You can also pay a bit more for chocolate themed packages.

A chocolate fountain with a range of dips can be included as part of your stay or even a chocolate hamper with seven kinds of snacks and sweets, both costing £35 each.

Want to go all out? The £79 Romantic Package includes the chocolate fountain, a bottle of Cava, two small bottles of chocolate wine, and a chocolate love heart.

Guests can also learn how to make chocolate – a 90 minute truffle making class costs just £45 (including 20 truffles to take away).

Other classes include chocolate portrait painting, chocolate shoe making as well as chocolate and wine tasting.

Their newest course is a 90 minute chocolate cheesecake making class for £59, where you can take three mini cheesecakes back with you.

Classes must be booked ahead, due to limited availability, as chocolatiers are not always on-site.

The world's largest chocolate museum has opened in Switzerland by Lindt, with shops, cafes and workshops dedicated to the sweet treat.

An outlet factory in Brussels owned by Belgian chocolatier Neuhaus lets visitors try as much of the chocolate as they want while there.
