Jet2 launches more flights to Rhodes and Madeira due to demand for quarantine-free islands – with package hols from £299

JET2 is increasing their flight routes from the UK to the Greek island Rhodes and the Portuguese island Madeira due to demand.

Both islands remain off the UK's quarantine list, meaning Brits won't have to self-isolate on arrival or back in the UK.

This has lead to increased demand to the holiday destinations with families wanting a last bit of sun abroad booking last minute holidays.

From November 7, more flights from five of Jet2's bases – Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle and Stansted – will fly to Rhodes.

These will depart on Saturday 7 November and Saturday 14 November.

From October 24, from Leeds Bradford and Manchester will fly to Madeira – comprising of four extra flights from Leeds on October 24, October 31, November 7 and November 14 , and four Sunday flights from Manchester on October 25, November 1, November 8 and November 15.

There are some travel restrictions – you must have a negative coronavirus test to enter Madeira as well as a filled-in traveller questionnaire.

Arrivals without a negative coronavirus test can take one on arrival but will be forced to quarantine until the result.

There are currently no restrictions for Rhodes, unless returning to Scotland, in which you will have to self-isolate for two weeks on your return.

Jet2 has also launched their latest flash sale, offering £50pp off holidays booked in October and November, with Rhodes and Madeira included in the sale.

Jet2 has already been forced to cancel holidays to Spain until next month as the country remains on the UK's quarantine list.

Flights and holidays to Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife have been affected.
