Inside the Majorca hotel that has its own theme park & costs from £82pppn | The Sun

KIDS will love Sol Katmandu, an incredible four-star hotel in Majorca that has its own theme park on-site.

Even better: you can stay there as part of a package holiday, with flights and park entry included, from £82pp a night.

The amazing 7-night deal we found is with Love Holidays, departing from Birmingham in April 2023.

It’s based on two adults and two children sharing a room, and breakfast and dinner are both included in the price, which works out at £82pp a night (£2,297 per stay).

Considering it's one of the most popular hotels in Majorca, you'll have to be quick to bag one of the bargain stays.

Sol Katmandu is located on a quieter stretch of Magaluf and is just a few minutes away from the area’s gorgeous sandy beaches.

Cheapest deals to the UK’s best theme parks this year

Although there aren’t as many bars and restaurants in the area compared to the centre, you’ll barely notice it as there’s a huge resort to explore.

Obviously, Katmandu Park is the main attraction – it’s voted the second best theme park in the whole of Spain by TripAdvisor and entry is included as part of your stay.

Inside, there are more than 10 attractions that the whole family can enjoy – younger kids will love the KATOPIA Splash Park where they can go on slides and explore the fortress, all set in a shallow pool.

Alternatively, there’s the KATOPIA Soft Play area, which has slides, trampolines and tunnels spread across five floors.

For older children and adults looking for a thrill, there’s Carnival XD, a haunted-house-style attraction that you have to try and escape from.

Or you can hop onto the ZOMBIES! XD Dark Ride, a virtual roller coaster that’s sure to get your blood pumping.

There’s even a Steambot Laser Challenge, where you try to dodge lasers like a scene straight out of Mission Impossible.

After a full day inside the park, you’ll be glad the hotel is just next door, and there are lots of family-friendly rooms to choose from.

The standard rooms are great for smaller families or those travelling with babies – cots, bottle warmers, and baby bathtubs are all available on request – while those travelling with older children can opt for a family suite with adjoining rooms.

And if you’re looking to splash out, there are even themed rooms that feel just like a miniature version of the theme park.

If the theme park isn’t your thing, Sol Katmandu has its own swimming pool with a smaller pool for kids as well, and there’s even a themed breakfast featuring mascots from the theme park.

If you’re looking to stay there, here are some other deals we’ve found, all based on two adults and two children sharing:

  • 7 nights half-board, departing August 31 from London Stansted – from £2,999 per stay (101pppn)
  • 7 nights all-inclusive, departing June 9 from London Stansted – from £3,544 per stay (126pppn)
  • 7 nights half-board, departing July 6 from London Gatwick – from £2,497 per stay (£89pppn)

Past guests have raved about the hotel and theme park on TripAdvisor, with many having returned year after year.

One person wrote: “I seriously cannot wait to return. This place is amazing and the staff were so welcoming and couldn't do enough to help you.”

Another commented: “First holiday since lockdowns and Covid and I was not disappointed. What a fantastic hotel with plenty of things to do for children. Even when it rained we still had plenty of options.”

For a staycation instead, Travelodge has launched new ‘luxury’ rooms on a budget, from £42 per night.
