Coronation Street fans can now spend a night on the cobbles – as TV set is listed on Airbnb

CORONATION Street fans can live out their fantasy of being part of the famous cobbled streets – as the TV set is opening its doors to two guests for one night only.

Staying next door to the famous Rovers Return Inn, the temporary Airbnb will be situated in the heart of the street.

Guests will be taken on a private tour of the set, followed by a hotpot dinner while watching classic Corrie episodes.

The area will include exteriors of Coronation Street sights including Preston's Petals, The Kabin, and Fiz and Tyrone's.

According to the Airbnb listing: "Guests can enjoy a spacious living area to relax in, featuring bold wallpaper and contemporary yet cosy furniture.

"The room also features a dedicated dining area where guests can sit and enjoy hotpot for tea as they watch some of the most loved Coronation Street episodes from the past 60 years."

There are two single beds in the bedroom with views of the cobbles, while complimentary water and snacks are included.

A temporary bathroom will be in place just a few steps away as well with a shower, toiletries and towels.

Head of Continuing Drama John Whiston said: "What fan of Coronation Street hasn't had a dream where you find yourself transported into the show itself, wandering around the houses of your best-loved characters? I certainly have.

"This unique stay gives you the chance to do just that, stay the night and wake up right next to the Rovers Return.

"What better way to celebrate Britain opening up again than your very own staycation on the nation's favourite street."

Bookings will open at 1pm on May 26, with one date only on October 2.

It will be a first-come-first-serve basis so you will have to be quick.

If you miss out, you can still visit the set, with both Coronation Street and Emmerdale offering guides tours.
