£70million fairy tale-themed hotel opens in Tenerife with seven pools, water park and its own CASTLE

The wait is over as the fairy tale-themed resort has opened and is complete with 372 rooms, five restaurants and a game centre for kids.

The new five-star all-inclusive resort’s biggest feature is the white fairy tale castle that is in the heart of the resort.

It will be used for entertaining families with light shows and performances.

Another eye-catching feature is the “Dragon Tree” that pays tribute to the island’s ancient legend of the Garden of Hesperides, which is a story packed with dragons.

The fairy tale theme is also noticeable throughout the resort in the rooms, kids' play areas and restaurants.

The resort offers a wide range of international cuisine from a Brazilian, French, Mediterranean, Tex Mex, Italian, Japanese and more.

Family-friendly features of the resort include a children’s club, a teen’s private disco and tailor-made spa treatments for kids at the Bahia Spa.

The resort has opened for bookings for families to come and stay as early as November 18.

Families can book through First Choice, Jet2holidays, LoveHolidays and though the resort’s website.

A family of five can stay in the Family Master Suite for as little as £98 a night.

Isabel Piñero, vice president of marketing and communications for Grupo Piñero, told The Daily Mirror: "The opening of Fantasia Bahia Principe Tenerife marks several milestones for our company.

"On one hand, it consolidates and reaffirms our commitment to Spain, where seven of our 25 hotels are located.

"On the other hand, it allows us to present a new brand to the market: Fantasia, which we believe will put us at the forefront of entertainment innovation in the all-inclusive segment for families worldwide."
