The man I fell for on holiday prefers booze and his mates to me now we’re home – The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: WHILE on holiday in Turkey, I met a brilliant guy.

Right away, we connected.

Now we are back home and more than 100 miles apart.

I drive every weekend to see him but I’m not sure he’s in this like he says he is. I’m 24 and he’s 27.

He was drunk when I got there last Friday.

He said he would cook a nice meal for us on Saturday and we could chill together but changed his mind and dragged me to a friend’s birthday drinks.

He promised it would just be a couple of drinks but sent me home in a cab when I got tired around 1am.

I felt it was selfish and we didn’t have sex.

I think his friends and boozing mean more to him than I do.

DEIDRE SAYS: It looks like it.

Life at home is very different from the heady holiday atmosphere and you sound to be on very different paths.

Let him know just how disappointed you were with the weekend.

Say you don’t want to cramp his style but you are not suited if that is his idea of a relationship.

Give him a couple of weeks to think it through but move on if he doesn’t convince you that he is ready to change.
