Following his split from Ariana Grande, Pete Davidson says he feels like a “good guy that just keeps getting kicked in the d*ck” and is clearly going through a rough time at the moment. According to a new report by Us Weekly, the Saturday Night Live star is doing everything he can to “distance himself” from the singer, including changing his phone number.
A source explains, “He decided to focus on himself” and adds, “This has been a difficult experience for Pete. He’s always been an extremely private person and the Ariana Grande spotlight and social media were a lot of new pressure for him.”
The 24-year-old allegedly “had the matching tattoo that he got with her changed,” which he alluded to during a recent charity comedy show.
“I’ve been covering a bunch of tattoos, that’s fun,” he joked. “I’m f*cking 0 for 2 in the tattoo [department]. Yeah, I’m afraid to get my mom tattooed on me, that’s how bad it is.”
Pete already covered the Dangerous Woman tat he had behind his ear and Ari was spotted sporting a bandage over one of the tattoos she got for him during a recent performance.
The mag also reveals that PD and AG are “currently…not speaking,” which goes against PEOPLE‘s previous claim that the former couple is still spending time together despite the breakup.
Yesterday, Ariana shut down a story that claimed Pete has basically been begging for her to take him back so had to tell him “to straight up leave her alone.”
The “God Is a Woman” crooner is getting ready to embark on the Sweetener World Tour and Pete is in the midst of filming SNL, Season 44, so hopefully their busy schedules are helping them keep their heads up during this difficult time.
