New plant-based chocolate and peanut butter ice cream is less than 400kcal a tub

Dessert fans listen up as there is a yummy new ice cream on the market.

Brand Halo Top has revealed the perfect ice cream for vegans and those watching their figure.

The company released its 'best-ever dairy-free formula' which features a key new ingredient – oat milk.

The Oat Milk tubs come in two dreamy new vegan-friendly flavours – Caramel Chocolate Pretzel and Peanut Butter Chocolate.

Halo Top’s newest formula replaces its previous dairy-free coconut base as it promises to be creamier and more indulgent than ever for food lovers.

At only 400 calories per tub too, it also won't damage your waistline.

It's also claimed that the dessert offers a 'decidedly smooth texture that won’t disappoint.'

Talking about the new plant-based flavours, Ryan Bouton, CMO of Halo Top International, said: "We’re always working to improve our recipes behind the scenes.

"When we tried our new oat milk formula for our plant-based tubs, we immediately knew we created a creamier, more indulgent texture our fans would really love.

"We are so excited for our fans to taste the two new flavours and enjoy another dairy-free and vegan-friendly alternative to our traditional dairy tubs."

As well as their plant-based flavours, the company also offers yummy offerings such as Chocolate Caramel Brownie, Vanilla Caramel Milkshake, Birthday Cake and Blueberry Crumble.

Or if none of those take your fancy, you can also try Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Lemon Cake, Mint Chip or Peaches & Cream.

The new plant-based tubs are on sale for £5 each from next Monday (March 15), where they will available to buy in Tesco stores nationwide. Find your nearest store here.
