My wife and I are both 80 and vulnerable to Covid-19 but not getting state support – The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE MY wife and I are not receiving the same help as others in our sheltered housing.

We are both nearly 80, have serious heart conditions as well as other problems and both take a lot of medication every day.

Our neighbours all got letters saying they were listed as vulnerable.

Now they get parcels of food delivered from the Government and also have their prescriptions collected for them.

My wife and I have received nothing – no letter saying we’re vulnerable and no food, while my wife has to go to the chemist to get our medication because I am unable to walk or stand.

DEIDRE SAYS: Thousands of vulnerable people were accidentally left off the Government’s list. Phone your GP for help and find local volunteer groups at covidmutualaid.org.

Get added to the official list at gov.uk/coronavirus-extremely-vulnerable. Ask family or friends to help, too.
