My husband drinks at least two bottles of wine a day since lockdown happened

DEAR DEIDRE: I CAN’T bear my husband when he’s been drinking. He gets very opinionated and argumentative.

He has always been a drinker but has been far worse since lockdown happened.

Now he is working at home and drinks at least two bottles of wine a day, regularly starting mid-afternoon while still working at his desk.

I am 43 and my husband is 45.

The company he works for is planning the return of all employees to the office.

But he’s hanging on as he obviously prefers this set-up.

I’ve tried to make my thoughts clear on his drinking and no longer wear my wedding ring because I’m so fed up.

DEIDRE SAYS: His level of drinking is dangerous. When he is sober, tell him what his drunk behaviour is like and that you have had enough.

He may sober up if he realises there is a real risk he will lose you.
