Mum transforms cupboard into dressing room for teen daughters on a tiny budget

A mum has revealed online show she transformed her husband’s old tool cupboard into a stunning beauty centre for her three teen daughters.

As any parent of teenager’s knows, they can take an age to get ready in the morning – make that three teenage girls and you’re in trouble.

In order to allow her girls some space to perform their beauty routines, while keeping the bathroom free for herself, she turned the old tool cupboard into a beauty station.

Sharing her ingenious work to the popular Facebook group DIY On A Budget Official , which has over 1.5m members, she showed the unattractive before photos.

The pictures features bare, discoloured walls, a dangling lightbulb and a dirty windowsill.

She went on to strip the walls, lay a new floor, paint the lot and add some new bargain furniture.

Having talked her husband into helping she showed the finished effect in an after photo which wowed the other page members.

The room now has a grey stool, mirror, storage and baskets.

She added two floating shelves to act as a desk and said that she had bought the hair dryer stand for just £3 on auction site eBay.

She wrote: “My cupboard on the stairs transformed from my husband’s work tools storage to a beauty room for my 3 daughters.

“All done on a budget.”

When questioned over the location of her husband’s tools she said they were now in the garden shed.

Thousands have liked the post and labelled the makeover “brilliant.”

One fan said: "Looks great well done.”

Another added: “Wow what a transformation… Lucky girls.”

A third posted: “I can imagine the fighting that will happen with 3 sharing such a beautiful space!!!!!”
