Meghan Markle takes two of Diana’s most treasured items to clothing launch

Meghan Markle looked smart and sophisticated as she returned to work today dressed in pieces from the new clothing collection she is launching.

It's a special day for the Duchess of Sussex, as she shares the five-piece capsule collection in aid of Smart Works, a charity that helps women get back to work.

She teamed up with John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Jigsaw and her friend Misha Nonoo to create the clothing line – which features a bag, dress, smart white shirt and a suit – and for every item bought in the next two weeks, one will be donated to the charity, which Meghan is Patron of.

Meghan wore the trousers and shirt to today's official rooftop launch, and she teamed it with two very special items of jewellery which used to belong to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.

She wore a pair of gold and diamond butterfly earrings that Diana used to love, and she wore them on a number of occasions including during her Royal Tour of Canada in 1986.

Meghan also had one of Diana's bracelets on her wrist, along with a number of others, to complete the modern look.

The chunky gold bangle has blue stones on each side.

It's not the first time we're seen Meghan in the earrings, and she also wore them for a very, very special engagement last year .

She had them on at her first engagement of her Australia Royal Tour with Prince Harry in October – their first official event since announcing they were expecting their first child.

Meghan's collection, which goes on sale in store and online today, will be available in sizes 6-24.
