Marks & Spencer fans in meltdown over giant chocolate Percy Pig Easter egg

Marks & Spencer had fans in meltdown as it announced it's selling a giant chocolate Percy Pig in time for Easter.

The high street favourite has released an adorable smiling Percy egg for fans of it's iconic pink pig character.

The egg, which will be made from chocolate, will feature Percy's recognisable piggy snout and pink ears. He'll also be getting some snazzy sprinkled trousers.

Percy will be the ideal gift over Easter time, or you can always buy him as a treat for yourself over the holiday.

The egg, which costs £10, will be available in M&S stores nationwide.

Fans were in a frenzy when the chocolate egg was first shared on popular Instagram page New Foods UK.

The post racked up thousands of likes as followers also flocked to the comments sections to express their delight.

One exclaimed: "I’m not sure what this is exactly but I need it."

As another penned: "Think I want this for Easter."

A third added: "Take all my money."

The new Easter egg comes after M&S has launched a string of Percy Pig products recently.

These include the Percy Pig 'Phizzy Pop' and Percy Pig flavoured ice cream.

There were also several festive Percy-themed treats released for the festive season, including Percy Pig Mince Pies and a Percy Pig advent calendar.

One M&S Percy Pig hit the headlines for a far more racy reason though recently.

A Reddit user named Thereader123 shared a photo of a somewhat 'X-rated' Percy Pig.

The Percy in question had a dark pink ear which had spread to the majority of it's face, and seemed to be in the shape of a penis.

The shopper hilariously captioned the photo: "Must’ve picked up the X-rated Percy pigs."
