Kate Middleton ‘extremely well-rehearsed’ in ‘direct appeal for education and change’

Kate Middleton gives thanks to parents and carers

Kate appeared in a number of videos lastweek, looking immaculate as she thanks participants. Nicola Harrison, Oxford-based Vocal coach and voice expert analysed the clips of Kate for Express.co.uk.

She claimed the Duchess of Cambridge is “extremely well-rehearsed”.

This is one of the biggest projects the Duchess has ever taken on and this week she has been discussing the findings of the survey.

Nicola explained Kate “is extremely well-rehearsed and relaxed.”

The Duchess has taken the lead in this huge project, without William with her. She has appeared as a leader in her own right.

Nicola said: “We see the Duchess stepping out in person to stand behind this vitally important subject.

“Her passion, commitment and dedication is apparent in her directness, the honesty of her approach, clear gaze and convincing tone of voice.”

The expert pointed to “a professionalism that communicates a direct appeal for education and change.”

However, some claimed Kate was “close to tears” in the appearances.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “Is Kate ok because she looks so sad?” Another asked: “I love Kate but she looks so sad and heavy-hearted in this photo.”

Body language Judi James analysed the video for Express.co.uk.

She revealed the look was most likely just down to the way Kate was lit in the video.

Judi said: “There has been speculation that Kate has looked tired and even close to tears during some of these pieces but I would suggest this might be down to the soft lighting that doesn’t ignite the eyes in every shoot.

“I would also speculate that Kate is presenting herself as a champion of more serious campaigns and wanting to display a more reflective and forceful side too.”

She suggested it would be likely, however, Kate would be feeling some anxiety due to her passion for the project.

“Projects like this one seem to have involved her at every level,” Judi said.

“Unlike some royal visits and appearances, this project has her name on it and despite its success, there are a few subtle non-verbal cues from Kate here that after this powerful launch her next stage, where she throws it out more generally, will involve some levels of personal anxiety that it will create the kind of change and action that she is clearly committed to.”

Kate is a mum of three and opened up on royal parenting in a podcast with I’m a Celebrity’s Giovanna Fletcher.

Kate spoke about the great many issues that come with parenting.

Kate discussed “mum guilt” on the podcast with the singer’s wife.

She said when asked about mum guilt and whether she experiences is: “Yes absolutely – and anyone who doesn’t as a mother is actually lying. Yes – all the time.”
