But the clip, which seems to feature Elton John, is believed to be fake.
It hasn't stopped fans from wondering if this is an outtake or a short snippet from this year's big budget Christmas advert.
The four-second clip shows a wooden bauble on a Christmas tree with an astronaut design as Elton John's Rocket Man plays in the background.
The camera then pans to a figure in an astronaut suit playing at the piano – which some fans have speculated means that Elton John may feature in this year's advert.
One fan who shared the clip on Twitter said: “This has got to mean Elton! Christmas is officially here.”
Even though the clip is likely to be a fake, some fans are still convinced Elton John will feature in the advert as a source told The Mail on Sunday that the Christmas advert will chart the course of the singer’s life.
They added this year's commercial is a “tear-jerker”.
It's been reported that the Tiny Dancer singer has been paid £5million to star in the advert – about half of the retailer's £10million budget.
John Lewis has not yet confirmed any details about this year's Christmas advert.
For the last two years, the John Lewis Christmas advert has been released on November 10.
Last year the advert told the story of a friendship between seven-year-old schoolboy Joe, who meets Moz the Monster, a noisy monster living under his bed.
The campaign's budget was £7million, and it was directed by French music video director Michel Gondry.
