If you've been tuning in to Married at First Sight UK this season, you'll be all clued up on the E4 show's latest brides and grooms.

Personal trainer Marilyse Corrigan has been paired up with Dubai-based fitness fanatic Franky Spencer, and whilst the attractive newlyweds have gotten along fairly well so far, fans were shocked to find out they weren't whisked away abroad like the show's seven other couples.

Whilst all of the other pairings headed on 10-hour flights to the luxury locations including the Maldives, Dominican Republic, Mexico and even Switzerland, Marilyse and Franky were sent on a staycation here in England.

Despite whatever strange reasoning there may be for keeping the pair based here in the UK for their romantic trip, the Lake District getaway was definitely every bit as luxurious as the sunny breaks that all of the other contestants had.

Brimstone Hotel was the location of the fitness-obsessed couple's honeymoon, and comes complete with lavish suites, multiple swimming pools and a huge health and fitness centre all on offer.

Here we take a look inside the posh Cumbria destination, which acted as a TV set for the week Marilyse and Franky were staying…

Luxury Brimstone Hotel is set on the Langdale Estate, a huge plot of land in Ambleside, Cumbria.

Their website describes the hotel as being set "slap-bang in the middle of the Lake District", joking that they "couldn't be more smug about it".

Selling their fancy staycation spot, they write: "Wake up every morning surrounded by peaceful Lakeland countryside, and then spend your day exploring some of the UK's most inspiring landscapes."

Sounds pretty bang-on for a TV couple who love exploring and staying fit, right?

The setting is absolutely gorgeous, with plenty of images on the hotel's social media proving they're not lying about those inspiring landscapes.

As for the suites? They do not disappoint. Private balconies, emperor beds, and rooms with log burning stoves are all at your disposal, making the location perfect for a romantic break for two, whatever the weather.

The site adds: "We've really thought of everything at Brimstone. Which is why you can borrow walking gear from our very own Arc'teryx Boot Room, take advantage of our team of hosts who will do anything for you (well, almost), and chill out in The Reading Room with complimentary drinks and snacks."

So, how much would a stay like this set you back? Luxury definitely doesn't come cheap.

OK! did some digging, and found that a week-long stay at the Brimstone Hotel in May 2022 (the stars are thought to have filmed the show during May 2021) would set you back upwards from £1,997.50

The fancy hotel's cheapest room available costs just under £2,000k for a week, and that's not including breakfast – it'll cost you £2,500 for the week if you're after brekkie.

Despite being at the cheapest end of the scale at Brimstone Hotel, the Plush Room is anything but cheap.

It offers boutique individual style with king size bed, 42" smart flat screen TV and audio system, even your own private terrace.

If you fancy forking out, you can opt for the Fireside Suite, setting you back £2,303.50 (£2,920 incl breakfast) for the posh room which features a wood burning stove.

"Modern contemporary meets indulgent fireside experience in a room with surprise and wow. Wood burning stove for winter, balcony for summer", states the website.

The most expensive option available is the Mezzanine Suite, costing £2,405.50, or £3,040 with breakfast.

"Expect the unexpected where comfort and style collide", describes the hotel's website.

"Two storey room with lounge area benefiting from wood burning stove and private balcony."

Despite the stunningly high prices, the Brimstone Hotel is very booked up, and they have hardly any availability until early 2021!

The accommodation also offers plenty to do, as well as great food and drink options.

Their on-site Stove Restaurant and Bar serves brunch and dinner, and has a fantastic selection of fine wines and craft ales.

A short walk down the road, they have a traditional Lakeland pub, Wainwrights' Inn, which offers hearty home-cooked meals and stunning views.

Franky and Marilyse were seen paddle-boarding, rock climbing, cycling and more, all of which are available around the hotel's grounds.
