Harry ‘pulls away’ from William as arguments grow between royal brothers

Things are looking decidedly rocky in the royal household with new reports suggesting that Prince Harry and Prince William have had a falling out.

The decision of Prince Harry and Meghan to move to a new home in the Queen’s Windsor Park estate has raised questions about the relationship between the royal brothers.

While the move might seem suitable for a recently married couple expecting their first child, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made a strong statement by turning down the chance to live in a Kensington Palace apartment next door to Prince William.

Instead Harry and Meghan find themselves 25 miles away in Frogmore Cottage.

Royal observers have suggested Harry was annoyed at William for not "rolling out the red carpet" when welcoming Meghan to the family, sparking a minor feud that required Prince Charles to intervene.

As The Sun reported: “They have had quite a few arguments.

“This is about Harry pulling away from his brother.”

Although tensions may be high at the moment, Harry’s move to the Berkshire residence may simply be a case of him growing up.

“They are rare in that they live together and work together, but there has been a stepping back,” a source told The Daily Mail.

“They are still incredibly close, closer than most siblings, but now Harry has married and is about to become a father, so it’s a good time for him to be planning his own future.

"There is no acrimony.”

As much as the usually close brothers do seem to be growing apart, many have blamed the widening rift between the two couples as a result of Kate and Meghan’s different personalities.

In recent months Kate has been criticised for toeing the line, dressing demurely and rarely speaking out.

What was once considered as a strength has seen the Home Counties girl labelled boring and judged to be only performing the minimum of her royal duties.

Meghan on the other hand has been forceful and opinionated since she first took her place by Harry’s side, eager to meet the public even before her role in the House of Windsor was formalised.

Much as she broke into the world of TV by sheer force of personality and skill, Meghan has taken the royal house by storm.

According to The Sun: “They try their best to get along but they are two people from wildly different places, so it is perhaps inevitable that they will rub each other up the wrong way.”

The rift between the sisters-in-law seemed to come to a head at a bridesmaid dress fitting for Princess Charlotte ahead of Meghan’s wedding.

According to royal sources Kate was overwhelmed by the stressful situation and was left on the verge of tears.

That followed revelations of a row when Meghan was asked to choose a tiara from the royal collection for her wedding day.

The Duchess selected one featuring emeralds, but was told to pick another.

Prince Harry flew to the defence of his wife and told staff: “What Meghan wants, Meghan gets.”

The fiery prince was only brought into line when the Queen stepped in.

While such a difficult moment could be put down to pre-wedding tensions, some of those who have been around Meghan say she can be demanding.

She is said to bombard staff with email and calls as early.

As much as the move to Frogmore might signal a growing rift between the royal couples, it might also give the newlyweds the space they desperately need.
