She is currently starring in the BBC’s new Sunday night drama The Little Drummer Girl and has been lauded with praise for her performance with critics dubbing her ‘the next Kate Winslet.’

And it seems that acting isn’t the only talent in Florence Pugh’s arsenal with the 22-year-old also showcasing an aptitude for singing.

Her passion for singing is one that stems back to her childhood with the actress sharing videos of her musical covers on YouTube under the name Flossie Rose.

In one video an 11-year-old Florence can be seen singing Frank Sinatra’s Fly Me to the Moon while playing the guitar in the garden of her family home in Oxford.

Her passion for singing has continued right through into her adulthood with the first episode of the BBC drama seeing her character Charlie performing with a guitar.

Her YouTube channel is flooded with various takes on musical hits as well as some of her own original material.

One particularly popular video of her performing Wonderwall by Oasis at the age of 17 has resurfaced in the light of her new role with fans encouraging her to pursue a music career.

Commenting on the video one wrote: ‘Impressive musicality for one so young. Acting is great but keep this up too, you have talent and taste.’

She has relied on her musicality during filming for The Little Drummer Girl with episode one seeing her character performing 

Agreeing another added: ‘Really surprisingly good! Considering you are highly skilled at acting too.’  

And it isn’t just the public who are impressed by her musicality with record labels reportedly showing an interest in the talented star.

According to The Express her singing has ‘now attracted the attention of music bosses who are keen to sign her up.’

For now it seems that Florence is staying firmly focused on her acting having shared a link to the trailer for her latest role in Netflix drama Outlaw King on her Instagram account. 

However, she still describes herself as a singer in her Instagram bio, writing: ‘Actor/SingerSongwriter with a weirdly low voice and a confusing laugh. Tzatziki goes with everything. Fact.’

She is currently starring alongside  Alexander Skarsgård in the new BBC One spy thriller series, spearheaded by prolific South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook. 

Based on John le Carré’s novel of the same name, the plot, set in 1979, sees actress Charlie (Florence Pugh), meet Becker (Skarsgård) while on holiday in Greece.

Florence – best known for her work in Lady Macbeth – takes on the leading role of radical left-wing actress Charlie and plays Alexandra’s lover in the upcoming series.

Episode two of The Little Drummer Girl will air on BBC One tonight at 9pm.
