Brits left drooling over new Ambrosia custard and Mr Kipling cake ice creams

We all love a bit of custard on our dessert or a nice Mr Kipling cake every now and again.

However, how would you like the sweet treats in ice cream form?

Well now you can, as Ambrosia custard and Mr Kipling cake ice creams are going on sale.

The classic British brands are launching five flavours – Ambrosia Vanilla Custard and Ambrosia Vanilla and Fudge Swirl, alongside Mr Kipling flavours of Chocolate Slice, French Fancy and Viennese Whirl.

And food fans are certainly excited about the new flavours.

Those who want to get their hands on the ice cream varieties will only be available to get them at Iceland and The Food Warehouse.

The Ambrosia flavours will cost £3.50 for a 840ml tub and are available in-store now.

Meanwhile, the Mr Kipling varieties are £3.50 for a 475ml tub. These will be available in stores from November 22.

Brits have got excited over the news as the new ice creams were shared on popular Instagram account @newfoodsuk.

Sharing snaps and writing about the Ambrosia flavours, the account wrote: "New Ambrosia Custard Ice Creams now available at Iceland These are spot on with the custard flavour! Really enjoyed both flavours!"

One person exclaimed: "I need this oh my."

As another added: "WHAT A MOOD."

A third delighted foodie wrote: "My life has been made."

And it seemed people were just as thrilled about the Mr Kipling flavours.

"This looks good af," admitted one social media user.

Another added: "Need a trip to Iceland, I want all of them."

While a third confessed: "I'll be buying these soon."

The new flavours come as another food item has hit headlines this week.

Brits have been left 'disgusted' yet 'intrigued' by a Yorkshire pudding pepperoni pizza.
