Bloody Mary popsicles and ice cubes are the next frozen trend you have to try

Bloody Mary fans, your beloved boozy brunch cocktail recipe has been transformed into an even more refreshing and entirely edible frozen treat.

Just a Taste founder Kelly Senyei created an update on the classic tomato juice-based cocktail for “Good Morning America” Food, drawing inspiration from her original drink recipe in “The Secret Ingredient Cookbook.”

“I’ve whisked in not one but two surprising ingredients in this recipe,” she said. “Pickle juice adds a touch of tang, while sugar balances out the blend for a sweet and sour kick in every lick-able bite.”

Senyei’s cool and crunchy twist for the popsicles perfectly combines flavor and function, with a celery stick in place of a popsicle stick.

Plus, she shared a second new riff — Bloody Mary Cocktail Cubes.

“I am a big believer in cocktail cubes being the next food trend,” she said. “Why dilute a drink with ice cubes when you can amp up the flavor with cocktail cubes?!”

Bloody Mary Pops

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Freeze Time: 6 hours

Yield: 10 (3-oz.) popsicles

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups tomato juice

1/4 cup pickle juice

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

4 dashes hot sauce

2 tablespoons sugar

2 oz. vodka

10 (6-inch) celery sticks, leaves trimmed

Tajín seasoning, for garnishing

Directions

In a large liquid measuring cup, whisk together the tomato juice, pickle juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, sugar and vodka.

Pour the mixture into Popsicle molds, filling each 2/3 full.

Insert a celery stick into each mold then freeze the pops until frozen solid, about 6 hours.

Once frozen solid and ready to serve, run the Popsicle mold under warm water for 15 seconds, then slowly pull on the celery sticks to release the pops from the mold.

Sprinkle the pops lightly with Tajin and serve immediately.
