Below Deck Mediterranean Season 6 Is a 'Completely Different Season, Captain Sandy Says

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 6 will be completely different than season 5 and Captain Sandy Yawn shared that she has a great crew on board.

She responded to a question about the upcoming season during a Bravo Below Deck captains YouTube special about what viewers can anticipate. “A completely different season,” she exclaimed. “I think the viewers will really like what we have. A great crew. A diverse crew and I’m really excited to be a part of it. So for me, it was such a wonderful experience. It was actually amazing.”

‘Below Deck Mediterranean’ Season 6 trailer teases a lighter season with fun

The breathtaking destination of Croatia is captured, but so are multiple scenes of yachties wiping out and moments of hysterical laughter. “This is not OK,” deckhand Mzi “Zee” Dempers says after he falls backward into a bush. Dempers’ good sense of humor carries over to the guests. He asks a group of female charter guests if they’d like a snack and they reply “vodka.” His comeback: “That’s a good snack.”

Chief stew Katie Flood also jokes with the guests, but also with her crew. And of course, there’s plenty of booty-popping and yachties in costumes. There are also guests without clothes. The trailer shows one guest who gets so drunk he decides to disrobe at dinner. Don’t forget about a boatmance – apparently, Dempers and stew Courtney Veale find themselves in a liplock. But is going to be a full-fledged boatmance?

Who is the new, fun ‘Below Deck Med’ Season 6 crew?

The new crew is definitely diverse, bringing their talents from different backgrounds. Chef Matthew Shea worked for celebrity clients like Hugh Jackman and Rupert Murdoch. His Instagram has quite a few celeb shots including one with singer Sia. Flood has a strong yachting background and seems more than ready to take on the job. “With experience on both charter and private yachts, Katie is no stranger to managing demanding owners and charter guests,” according to her Bravo bio. “No matter how difficult the request, she always manages to get it done and flawlessly.”

Veale was a Disney Princess and brings experience to the Lady Michelle from several other industries. Rounding out the interior is Lexi Wilson who represented the Bahamas in the Miss Universe pageant.

The deck team includes Dempers, who comes from a family of yachties. Plus Lloyd Spencer pivoted away from his job as a European tour guide and took a chance in yachting. Also on the deck team is David Pascoe who worked at a brain injury rehabilitation center and as a beach lifeguard at one point. Yawn returns for her fifth season on the show, plus Malia White as bosun.

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 6 premieres on June 28 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
