Astrology expert Jessica Adams spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s core characteristics and how they complement each other.
Jessica stated: “Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, is a Sun Capricorn. Capricorn is the mountain goat who climbs patiently to the top.
“Before Prince William proposed, Kate was nicknamed ‘Waity Katie’ and people born under this sign have great powers of endurance, both in love, as parents and in their careers.”
The couple initially began dating in 2001, and Prince William gave his beloved a promise ring.
Diamond expert Steven Stone described the piece as a “gold ring with pearls and garnets, which she wore on her middle finger.
“Set on a rose gold Victorian band, the ring features two garnets which are Kate’s birthstone for January, and pearls to represent William’s birthstone for June”.
Jessica continued: “The true Capricorn is ambitious from a very young age and by the second Saturn Return, at around age 60, will typically have achieved great success personally, professionally, academically or through charity.”
As Kate Middleton approaches her 40th birthday on 9 January, she is already adored by the nation for her activism and support of causes such as early years support and children’s mental health.
Her husband, Prince William, is a Sun Cancer, which is represented by the crab.
“Cancer people do carry their childhood and teenage years around with them, and they also have strong feelings about their home, hometown and homeland too.
“Cancer the crab carries his roof on his back, and William (like his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales) was born under the sign associated with the family home and property, for better or worse.”
This suggests an inherent loyalty and dedication to family, which the prince certainly exemplifies.
As for their astrological journey as a couple, the royal pair have “done very well” to survive the Pluto in Capricorn cycle since 2008.
It must have “severely tested their marriage, as it produces power struggles and questions about control”.
Jessica added: “William in particular has had this cycle in his marriage sector, in his Cancer horoscope. Kate has had it in her sector of image and profile. Most interesting!
“The tests end in 2023 and are a distant memory from 2024, for reasons we do not know.”
Concerning their romantic compatibility, Kate and William are extremely well suited.
Indeed, astrology.com stated: “When Cancer and Capricorn make a love match, it’s a celestial pairing of great tenacity and determination.”
Jessica explained: “Capricorn Kate wants a man who can take her higher, with her professional and social ambitions. The Sun in Capricorn woman is ambitious to get to the top – and to be with top people.”
She elaborated: “The other famous British Capricorn Kate is a good example of that – Kate Moss.
“Kate Middleton, as she once was, has found a superb partner in William for her striving, climbing nature.”
As for Kate’s impact on her husband’s life: “William wants a family from Kate and he got one”.
She concluded: “As a Sun Cancer man with the kind of birth chart he has, he is very close to his mother, always (Cancer rules mother-child relationships) and needs a substitute – a perfect parent to his children but also a nurturing, caring, protective woman to look after him too. Kate understands that and like Diana, fits the bill.”
