Mum uses kids' fidget popper toy to make her own fun chocolate bars

Kids everywhere have been trying to get their hands on silicone colourful fidget popper toys.

The feeling is a little like popping bubble wrap as you push the buttons in and out.

But one mum has found a new use for them, which is good to keep in mind for when your children get bored.

The woman, who posts as @Mumof5staysane on TikTok, uses them to create her own Smarties chocolate bars.

The caption says the bars are ‘so easy to make.’

In a video, she shows how she ensures the buttons are all popped out the same way and she then places a smartie in each one.

She uses a square and an octogon shaped toy but you can use whatever you have.

Next, she melts some milk chocolate and some white chocolate, aiming to put one type in each mould.

The octagon uses two 100g bars of white chocolate and the square uses three 100g bars of milk chocolate.

Once filled, she pops the whole thing in the fridge and lets it chill until it is set.

After a few hours, she can then pop it out of the mould and have her own Smarties bars to enjoy.

The mould has lines between each row of gaps so you can break it up into smaller chunks.

It is important to make sure your toys are food safe if you plan to try this out, and of course, give them a very good clean beforehand.
