With winter fast approaching, some Britons will already be getting prepared for Christmas. Marks & Spencer has already filled its shelves with lots of food and drink items for the festive season.

M&S shoppers can get ahead of preparations with Christmas dinner items already available to order from the retailer.

The new festive range includes Percy Pig mince pies, Santa yumnuts and mince pie cookies.

Marks & Spencer has also brought out some Christmas tipples to help kick start the celebrations.

Among these is a new premixed gin and tonic with a seasonal twist.

Marks & Spencer shared the drink in a post on Facebook that soon gathered the attention of fans.

The retailer shared a snap of the drink online earlier this week.

The caption reads: “Toast #NationalGinandTonicDay with one of our Christmassy G&T cans, made at Edinburgh’s Old Curiosity distillery with a blend of festive botanicals.”

The update soon gathered nearly 2,000 ‘likes’ and more than 2,200 comments.

Shoppers got into the festive spirit as they shared their excitement over the new product.

One wrote: “These are perfect for Christmas stocking fillers for older members of the family. They are brilliant.”

“These are absolutely lovely. I must get some in,” another added.

A third commented: “Very tasty and the design is so Christmassy.”

Another shopper agreed, stating: “That’s my kind of Christmas drink.”

The picture showed three cans which had a bright red and green design.

They were surrounded by fairy lights and miniature red Santa hats.

The tipple mixes Indian tonic with two measures of its Christmas dry gin.

The drink is flavoured with ginger, cardamom and cinnamon, making it the perfect winter warmer.

This isn’t the only festive gin to hit the shelves in Marks & Spencer.

The retailer has launched light-up liquors that have LED lights in the base.

The bottles feature Christmas scenes and are filled with edible gold leaves.
