With lots of time on our hands now we are stuck at home due to coronavirus isolation, you might want to try out a new hobby, like sewing or baking.
But with some food still in short supply and people being told to stay at home and only go to the supermarket when you need to, you need to stick to what is already in your store cupboard.
We’ve already brought you a cake that doesn’t use eggs, butter or milk, some very easy bread and dough you can make with just yoghurt and flour.
Now, we bring you the lemonade scones.
These are made with just lemonade, cream and flour.
So if you can find some lemonade in the back of the cupboard and still have some cream in the fridge, make these to enjoy tomorrow.
You need one cup of cream, two cups of lemonade and three cups of self-raising flour (or any ratio of 1:2:3).
Gently mix together and then roll the dough out onto a floured surface.
Use a cookie cutter (or glass if you don’t have one) to cut out the shapes and then brush the top with a little milk, if you have some.
The recipe was posted in the Slow Cooker Recipe and Tips Facebook group and it advises using the kitchen appliance.
You just need to pop them inside with some baking paper and a tea towel under the lid, cooking them on the high setting for 90 minutes.
Others commented saying the recipe also works in the oven if you don’t have a slow cooker.
Just cook them at 180C for around 15 minutes, or until they are golden on top.
