She took to her TikTok account to share a recipe for her parmesan-crusted roasted potatoes. The crispy, cheesy roasties look amazing, and Hajar wrote: “Crispy cheese is just too good.”

She said: “If there’s one recipe that you make this week, it has to be these parmesan-crusted roasted potatoes. They’re pretty life-changing and super easy to make.”

How to make parmesan roast potatoes

First, you have to make your delicious coating for the potatoes. The content creator said: “Start up by melting down some butter and combining it with olive oil, garlic, parsley, parmesan, red pepper flakes, salt, black pepper, and oregano.

“Now we take our baby gold potatoes that had been rinsed, cut them in half, and toss them in that garlic and herb butter sauce and transfer to a tray.

“Then you’re going to dip each potato on this side and parmesan and cover it completely.

“Then in the oven, they go to roast at 400F (204C) until they’re beautifully golden and crispy on the bottom just like this. Now all that’s left to do is enjoy.”

Tips for the best roast potatoes – according to Heston Blumenthal

Pick the right potato

The chef likes an Arran Victory or Maris Piper potato the best, advising: “You want a dry, floury potato, not a waxy one.”

Fat and oil choices

If you are using a fat, Heston recommends beef dripping, which gets potatoes “really, really crispy”. But, if you are using oil, he suggests peanut oil or cheap extra-virgin olive oil.

For the best potatoes, Heston suggests adding salt after the potatoes have been roasted.

Another content creator detailed their recipe to make the “best roast potatoes you’ll ever eat”.

Sam Stern, a chef and author based in London, posts his recipes and tips on his TikTok account @samsterncooks. He suggests using a chicken stock cube and clarified butter to make the potatoes.

The chef mixes the stock cube and oil together, and then before roasting the potatoes pour this mixture over them with garlic, rosemary, and thyme.
