McDonald’s is rolling out a new Double McPlant across the UK and Ireland from Wednesday January 4.
Joining the likes of the Double Big Mac, Double Quarter Pounder, and Double and Triple Cheeseburger, a new vegan Double is entering the chat.
The original McPlant took more than three years to get right, with a meatless patty co-created with Beyond Meat.
It’s proven popular since its launch in September 2021 – so much so that a new Double McPlant is landing next month.
Just in time for Veganuary.
The new burger will include two Beyond Meat patties, a vegan sesame bun, mustard, ketchup, the ultimate vegan sandwich sauce, onion, pickles, lettuce, tomato and vegan cheese slices.
The Double McPlant is cooked separately from other burgers and sandwiches in restaurant branches.
They’re also cooked using dedicated utensils, so you can rest easy knowing that your burger won’t be cross-contaminated with what the carnivores are ordering.
When the burger drops, it will cost £4.89, and £6.49 for a meal.
It’s not a limited menu item either – the Double McPlant is here to stay.
