Lockdown restrictions are easing in England today, meaning social distancing rules and legal limits on gatherings are coming to an end. To celebrate life returning to some normality, Domino’s Pizza is giving away free pizza.

To celebrate today, the takeaway chain is offering 480 free £20 vouchers to its customers.

All fans need to do is respond to Domino’s kick-off tweet, with a good reason why they need a pizza.

According to the chain, the wackier the response, the better.

The 480 fans will then be direct messaged with a free voucher code to redeem.

Domino’s is giving away 480 free vouchers because it has now been 480 days since the country went into lockdown.

The Domino’s app is available across both iOS and Android and available for download through the App Store or Google Play.

Meanwhile, customers visiting a Young’s pub can get their hands on a free pint.

All customers have to do is have the pub’s app, On Tap, downloaded onto their smartphone.

It is free and available to download via Google Play or the App Store.

Once registered, customers can head to the ‘Your Treat’s section where the free pint of Young’s Original pint of pale ale will be available to claim.

However, only the first 30,000 customers will be able to get one, so the offer is limited.

Popular chain Wetherspoon is also celebrating the occasion with £1.99 pints from today, with the deal available throughout the whole of the summer.

McDonald’s is also celebrating the easing of restrictions by slashing the cost of its Big Macs to 99p.

It usually costs £3.49, meaning a huge £2.40 can be saved on the iconic burger.

Like the other deals, it can be claimed on the MyMcDonald’s app, where the majority of exclusive offers for customers are.

The easing of restrictions means that the legal requirement to wear a face mask has now been lifted.

However, retailers including supermarkets are still urging shoppers to continue wearing one to help stop the spread of the virus.

Sainsbury’s and Tesco have said that customers should continue to wear face masks if they can.

In a statement, Simon Roberts, Sainsbury’s Chief Executive, said: “As we respond to the recent change in Government guidance, we know that safety is still top of mind for many of our colleagues and customers.

“Our colleagues’ safety is vital and many of our colleagues would feel more comfortable too and they are telling us the same.

“We’re asking everyone to be considerate and, while we understand wearing a face covering will now be a personal choice, we want to ensure we best support and protect each other in the weeks and months ahead.”

From today, new signs and tannoy messages in stores will encourage customers to continue to wear a face covering, unless exempt.

However, the supermarket giant has said it will begin to remove screens between self-service checkouts.
