Forget Christmas pudding, Colin the caterpillar is the dessert everyone wants this festive season.
M&S announced that their Christmas Colin would be back on the menu again for 2020 back in September but this is the week it finally goes on sale.
From tomorrow, December 16, you’ll be able to get your hands on one.
It was available online through their food to order service but slots for that have now closed due to high demand and the cake will only be available in store.
Like the birthday cake that has been on tables for 30 years, the Christmas Colin features a chocolate swiss roll, coated in more chocolate but this version includes presents, decorations and a cute Santa hat on his white chocolate head.
The cake costs £10 and will only be available while stocks last so get in quick if you want one on the dinner table on the big day.
The supermarket sold a similar cake last year and it proved to be very popular, but this year the design has been changed slightly.
Other cakes from their range which are going on sale this week include the Woodland Yule Log £20, which serves 12, so ideal if you are bubbling up with two other households.
This upright twist on a traditional yule log is filled with chocolate ganache, wrapped in milk chocolate ‘bark’ and topped with woodland decorations.
There’s also a sausage roll stack for £12, and from Friday, you’ll be able to buy a range of cheese dishes.
Next week, the Plant Kitchen festive wreath and desserts will be available to buy.
