Who is Dick Strawbridge?
Dick is a British TV presenter and Lieutenant-Colonel, who is famous for hosting the Scrapheap Challenge.
Born the third of seven kids, Dick started life in Burma before being educated in Northern Ireland.
After attending Welbeck College, he later went to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and later retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2001 after his stint in the Royal Corps of Signals.
In 1993 he was awarded an MBE for distinguished service in Northern Ireland and also had an honours degree in Electrical Engineering.
What shows has he presented?
Dick brought his engineering experience to a number of TV shows after his army career.
He worked on Scrapheap Challenge, replacing Robert Llewellyn.
And then starred on BBC Two’s It's Not Easy Being Green which saw his family attempting to live as green a life as possible in St Austell, Cornwall.
He is currently appearing in The Biggest Little Railway In The World on Channel 4 alongside host Claire Barrett.
Who is Dick Strawbridge married to?
Dick met the love of his life Angel Adoree in 2010, and they have now started a family together.
Angel is the founder of the Vintage Patisserie, which won investment Dragon Den stars Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis and had a shop in Hackney, East London.
The couple has a son called Arthur Donald who was born in 2013, and a daughter called Dorothy Francis who was born the year after.
Does Dick Strawbridge live in a castle?
Dick and Angel decided to take the plunge to move to a neglected castle in France with no electric, sewage or heating.
The 45-room, five-storey home, Chateau-de-la-Motte Husson, has since been transformed into a stunning home and now into a flourishing business.
The couple even tied the knot there in November 2015.
