The quilted Barbour coat has an orange zip and matching lining and Kate has worn it on various outdoor engagements before.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore the coat over a thin red and cream jumper.
She completed the casual ensemble with a pair of blue denim skinny jeans.
The royal protected herself from the sand by wearing a practical pair of dark brown boots.
The lace-up suede ankle boots are from See by Chloe and the royal has also stepped out in them before.
Kate kept her long brown hair off her face as she pulled it into a low ponytail.
She was also seen wearing a grey cap with white speckles.
Choosing her signature casual make-up look, Kate wore only a slick of mascara and a nude lip gloss.
Her large sapphire and diamond engagement ring could be seen on her left hand.
The mother-of-three wore a small pair of gold hoop earrings.
Royal fans were quick to comment on the look and share their appreciation for her style.
Posting on social media, one wrote: “The Duchess of Cambridge looks amazing!”
Another simply added: “I love it”.
One more commented on the look and suggested it is different from her usual style.
They said: “Quite a different outfit from Kate today.
“Some pretty mixed colours. Not sure what I think yet though.”
