Mum shares VERY simple method to getting the perfect roast beef in a slow cooker every time – and her kids LOVE it too

A MUM has shared her foolproof recipe for making roast beef in the slow cooker – ensuring it’s perfect every time. 

Finding a dish which pleases the whole family can be difficult, but one woman thinks she’s cracked it with her version of a roast dinner. 

The mum shared her incredibly simple recipe to Facebook group Slow Cooker Recipes Australia, where it’s racked up hundreds of likes. 

To copy it, you’ll need garlic, butter, an onion, along with herbs and seasoning, with the mum claiming she used rosemary and thyme, along with a pinch of salt and pepper. 

She shared snaps of each stage of her prep online, saying: “Tonight's slow cooked beef garlic and herb butter with gravy. 

“It was amazing. Kids and hubby all loved it. 

Slow cooker beef recipe

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 7 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2tbs fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 2tbs Fresh Thyme, finely chopped
  • 1tbs Pepper
  • 1 Tbs Salt

“Definitely doing this one again. So delicious.”

And explaining exactly how she whipped it up, she said: "Mix all Above ingredients above in a bowl and cover in Roast Beef all over and I sat it in SC on a bed of chopped onion.

"Cook for 6 hours on low (more or less depending on size of roast).

"Serving with mash potatoes and greens."

While she served it with mash and veg, you can whatever sides you like to the dish. 

Her recipe has gone down a storm online, with one person saying: "Nothing short of a masterpiece!"

One person wrote: “Oh my goodness, this looks delicious.”

A third said: “This looks amazing, can't wait to try.” 

While this person added: "I took this as inspiration and am making lamb shanks the same way today!"

And this TikTok user revealed how to make Domino's pizza garlic and herb dip at home – and claimed it's healthier than the takeaway version.
