Carrie and Boris sat on a sofa together in the footage, both wearing poppies for Remembrance Day. Carrie wore a gorgeous green dress in peasant style. It has voluminous sleeves and a frill at the neck. Her platinum and emerald engagement ring was on show, and she wore another ring on her index finger.
Her long blonde hair fell over her shoulder and gold hoop earrings hung from her ears.
During the video Carrie said: “You continue to provide care for all of us in the very toughest of times and it’s because of you that not only is Boris still here, but that we are proud parents to our sweet baby boy.
“As a family we have so much to be thankful to the NHS for and we will never stop being grateful.”
The Prime Minister said: “Exactly right. So I want to pay thanks to the utterly brilliant team at St Thomas’ Hospital who saved my life. There were many of them, but I want to nominate two nurses in particular, Luis and Jenny.“
Carrie said: “And I would like to nominate the fantastic maternity team at University College Hospital for delivering Wilf and looking after us both so well. As a family, we have so much to be thankful to the NHS for and we will never stop being grateful.”
The Prime Minister said: “Correct. Thank you to each and every one of you. For your care, your compassion and your kindness. You are the beating heart of our nation. You truly are the Pride of Britain.“
As the climax of the Pride of Britain Awards, Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will present a special recognition award to the NHS frontline heroes.
Carrie Symonds’ engagement ring from Boris is a stunning vintage piece.
James Constantinou, founder of Prestige Pawnbrokers of Channel 4’s Posh Pawn told Express.co.uk: “Boris Johnson’s traditional style is complemented by Carrie Symond’s love of vintage fashion.
“So a valuable antique engagement ring is the perfect match whether an heirloom or one chosen by the pair.”
The ring has been estimated by experts to be worth between £30,000 and £35,000.
