Boohoo is selling a £35 faux fur cocoon coat which looks just like this £245 Whistles one – can you tell the difference?

With the high street awash with cocoon coats of all different sizes and shades, we've had our hearts set on a particularly pricey lilac offering from Whistles.

Perfect for layering over knitwear or simply chucking on over a Christmas party cocktail dress, this stunning purple cocoon coat shot straight to the top of our style wishlists earlier this season.

With its beautiful (and incredibly cosy) oversized fit, this faux fur coat is both bang on trend for AW18 with its hot hue.

Meanwhile, the classic cocoon cut makes it something of a timeless wardrobe staple.

But there's just one small problem: while it may still be a high street brand, the Whistles coat will set shoppers back a staggering £245.

So no matter how much we try to justify it to ourselves, we simply can't bear the thought of splashing that kind of cash. *weeps*

But luckily for our wardrobes, Boohoo has come to the rescue of our bank balances with its latest designer dupe.

Yes the bargain high street store has unveiled a super similar cocoon coat inspired by the Whistles original.

  • Faux Fur Collared Coat, £35 from Boohoo – buy now

In an almost identical shade of lilac, this faux fur coat is equally as oversized and cosy.

Not to mention the large fur collar which is perfect for snuggling up in during the cold winter months.

And just when we thought we couldn't be any more obsessed, the design also incorporates a set of humongous pockets.
