WWE superstar Rhea Ripley has got engaged to AEW wrestler Buddy Matthews.
The Women’s World Champion and her 34-year-old boyfriend – known to WWE fans as Buddy Murphy – are set to tie the knot after he proposed to her, and she looked overjoyed as she shared the happy news with her followers on Instagram.
She posted a selfie with her new fiance as she posed together on the beach, Buddy beaming for the camera as Rhea leaned in to kiss him on the cheek with her left hand draped over his shoulder.
A stunning ring is clearly visible on THAT finger, and true to the Judgment Day star’s signature style, the gorgeous diamond is sitting on a black band.
The 26-year-old star captioned the adorable snap: ‘1000x YES! Pure [F-ing] happiness! ❤️’
Her fans and fellow stars have flooded the post with messages of support and well wishes following the amazing announcement.
‘Congratulations!! ♥️,’ commented pregnant former WWE wrestler Jessica McKay (Billie Kay), while Bianca Belair excitedly replied: ‘CONGRATSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! (sic)’
Alexa Bliss, who is expecting her first child with husband Ryan Cabrera, wrote: ‘Congrats! 🖤’
Giant star Omos and WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella also offered their congratulations, while a clearly overwhelmed referee Jessika Carr added: ‘Ommmmgggggggaghhhhhhhhhhhh 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍’
‘Congratulations!!! You 2 are adorable,’ replied a fan, and another follower said: ‘SHUT UP THIS IS SO CUTE! Congratulations Buddy and Rhea! You both deserve all the happiness in the world💜💜💜’
Aussie couple Rhea and Buddy – who are frequent workout partners – appeared to make their relationship official in May 2022, having met two years earlier in WWE, and their romance has blossomed even after he was released and made the jump to AEW.
In recent months, she has publicly defended her man from trolls using her on-screen relationship with Judgment Day teammate Dominik Mysterio to roast him on social media.
