Would You Buy This 1991 BMW M5 With Almost 250,000 Miles?

When a classic BMW M-car comes up for sale, the automotive industry (including us over at HYPEBEAST) are often quick to note the car’s pristine bodywork, (often) low milage, and historical importance — but the same can’t quite be said for the 1991 BMW E34 M5 you see above.

Despite it looking rather clean, this M5 actually comes with over 246,000 miles on the clock. For some, this is an absolute no-go area, but for others, one factor might change it all — this car is being sold by its original and only owner, who has singlehandedly put all those miles on the car since 1991.

With this in mind, the “Sterling Silver Metallic” over “Light Silver-Gray” Nappa leather BMW M5 is in near-as-makes-no-difference perfect working order. Its 3.5-liter S38B36 inline-six engine (which is mated to a five-speed manual and a limited-slip differential) starts on command and passed local emission tests, and clearly is capable of adding many more miles to itself.

A few door dings and scratches appear, but overall the car inside and out looks good for its age. There’s a host of luxury features too, such as a sunroof, cruise control, automatic climate control, power-adjusted and heated front seats, and vintage add-ons such as an onboard computer and a factory cassette stereo.

Because of its overall condition, the 1991 BMW E34 M5 is currently sitting on Bring a Trailer for just $6,000 USD with three days left to go. Take a closer look at the car above.
