Designed by Jessica Ogden, A.P.C. Quilts has returned for Round 22 of its quilted merchandise series. For the Fall/Winter 2022 season, the revered French brand has announced that for this drop, each quilt has been made from leftover A.P.C. fabrics.
Previously, “Round 21” of the quilt series focused on ‘beauty in utility’ and highlighted works done by Anni and Josef Albers. For the current project, the “Round 22” quilts were designed by Ogden and based on her photos of scenery taken in Ocho Rios, Jamaica during the pandemic lockdown. New items feature a kaleidoscopic pattern of mixed materials and offer geometric arrangements of fabric patches in colorways of cinnamon, orange, black, grey and blue.
The new campaign images were shot by Alfredo Piola (in the Canary Islands), and emphasize nature’s elements of the sea, clouds and the sky.
Adding context for the new collection, the brand’s Creative Director, Jean Touitou says: “2020: it was an odd year. We had never experienced anything like it before. We knew that the planet would keep turning. That’s all we knew.”
A.P.C.’s Round 22 Quilts are now available and can be found on the brand’s website.
In case you missed it, Brooklyn-based jewelry brand Personal Fears crafted unconventional new unisex styles for FW22.
