Mike Tyson makes shock comment about Jamie Foxx and suggests actor had stroke

Not many people would have expected an update on Jamie Foxx to come from Mike Tyson, but in a new interview, the former boxer commented on the actor’s health.

Jamie, 55, sparked concern last month when he was rushed to hospital for a ‘medical emergency,’ where he remained for some time with his family by his side.

Speaking last week to entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David, 56-year-old Mike was asked directly what he knew about Jamie’s health and suggested the Spider-Man star had suffered a stroke.

When asked by Patrick, 44: ‘Mike, are you following what’s going on what Jamie Foxx?’ the superstar athlete replied: ‘He’s not feeling well. They said a stroke. I have no idea what happened to him.’

Speaking on his PBD podcast, Patrick added: ‘We were at Catch [recently] in LA and he showed up and looked really good, then all of a sudden you hear stories about [him being ill].’

Mike then said: ‘Hey listen, we can’t anticipate our next breath. We don’t know when we’re gonna die.’

Patrick was quick to ask the boxer about rumours that Jamie would play him in a biopic, saying: ‘Is he still doing the movie? Weren’t there stories of him playing your life?’

‘It was a possibility,’ replied Mike, adding: ‘I don’t know what’s going to happen now. Jamie’s closer to my age, so they were gonna do what they did with Benjamin Button.’

When asked whether there has been ‘any news on what this medical condition is’, Mike said: ‘Listen, if we don’t know by now, they don’t want us to know.’

While Jamie has undergone treatment and thanked fans for their support as he recovers, details on the reason he was hospitalised have not been made clear.

It was recently reported that Jamie has undergone physical rehabilitation as part of his recovery plan.

Oscar-winner Jamie had been filming for the upcoming Netflix blockbuster Back In Action when he was mysteriously hospitalised.

His family rushed to be by his side, with Jamie’s daughter Corinne posting the initial news of his illness in a now-deleted Instagram post.
