Kanye West is going full steam ahead when it comes to his presidential campaign, but his latest move has left a lot of people confused, including Kirsten Dunst.
The rapper, 43, took to Twitter to share a new poster for his ‘2020 vision’ and campaign and Kirsten’s was one of the faces, along with Anna Wintour’s, he has used in the new visual.
Only it seems to be from years ago and, well, we can’t quite work out Kanye’s thought process behind it. Turns out, neither can Kirsten, and she went straight to the man himself to ask.
After coming across Kanye’s tweet, she tweeted back: ‘What’s the message here, and why am I apart of it?’
Fans were seen trying to offer some kind of explanation to a baffled Kirsten, with one responding: ‘Kanye is very epic Kirsten. It was probably a reminder of the good old days of the early 2000’s where we could stand under the American flag and call ourselves Americans. You were a key figure in those days…..’
Another said: ‘You’re the “All American Girl” laughing & smiling & well-known. He wants to use you. Shut him down.’
‘Kanye has a vision. It’s about the year 2020. The future. You’re a huge part of it. That’s the message. I dunno what it is either but at least he thought of you first! Err…no second, after “Jesus Tok”. This is big – who knows, you could be the next Kirsten Dunst,’ one follower joked.
‘Hmmmmm, something about Spider-Man I think,’ offered up one fan.
Kanye, himself, hasn’t responded to Kirsten’s tweet, his poster is proof that the Gold Digger hit-maker isn’t backing down when it comes to running for US president – even if he has hit a few bumps in the road.
His presidential bid was hit by ‘electoral’ fraud speculation, with the states of Illinois and New Jersey claiming some of the signatures Kanye collected to secure a spot on the ballots for each state for November’s election are invalid.
The claims came after Kanye was seen breaking down in tears during his first presidential rally in South Carolina and made concerning revelations about his marriage to wife Kim.
Kanye claimed he and Kim had considered aborting their eldest daughter North and later revealed in a series of tweets he’d been trying to divorce Kim for the last two years.
The star has since publicly apologised to wife Kim, who addressed his behaviour at the time and acknowledged Kanye was going through a bipolar episode.
Since then he and Kim are said to have been ‘working on rebuilding their marriage’, with sources claiming the pair are ‘much happier’.
