John Geiger's GF-01 Is Dropping in Colorful "Multi-Tweed"
After releasing his signature GF-01 in a tropical “Teal/Peach,” designer John Geiger has given his popular homage sneaker a colorful “Multi-Tweed” makeup. A streetwise interpretation of luxury materials and detailing, Geiger’s latest GF-01 makeup may be his most intricate design yet thanks to its full tweed upper.
This textured tweed build is awash in color, using a variety of browns as the base before branching out into a healthy dose of light blue plus red, purple, fuchsia, yellow and more. The midfoot’s looping cursive “G” and the heel tab are both done up in natural leather to provide a material and color contrast, with the collar lining and tongue alike dressed in a golden brown mesh. More natural leather provides trim on the tongue, while flecked laces alternate between soft tan and stark black. Down below, eggshell-colored midsoles match the upper’s accents and complete the look with an embossed “GF-01” hit on the lateral heel.
The John Geiger GF-01 “Multi-Tweed” will release on John Geiger’s webstore come February 12, accompanied by a new khaki colorway of the brand’s popular cargo pocket pants. Shoes are priced at $200 USD and pants at $320 USD.
