Daily Paper's Hussein Suleiman Is Teasing a New Blacked-Out Side Bag

Daily Paper’s co-founder, Hussein Suleiman — or you may know him as Huzane on Instagram — has just posted a selection of imagery on social media that teases a new side bag.

The rapid rise of side bag accessories has been there for all to see; we’ve seen Louis Vuitton present a utility bag with a glossy zipped design, while the likes of London-based upcycling brand Greater Goods has presented a collection of sustainable side bags designed for outdoor exploration. And with this in mind, Amsterdam-based streetwear label Daily Paper is now getting in on the act.

The bag comes with a blacked-out color palette and is crafted from leather with an overarching strap hanging over the main compartment. It’s also designed in the shape of Daily Paper’s brand emblem, and continues to embrace the label’s close affiliation with African culture — more specifically in the lands of Somali, Morocco, and Ghana. Additionally, the Daily Paper emblem integrates the Maasai shield, which is used by the Maasai tribe in Eastern Africa, while the brand’s famous spikes — seen on the Kenyan flag — round off the design through the center of the emblem.

You can have a closer look at the teased Daily Paper side bag above and be sure to keep up to date on Daily Paper’s official Instagram page for further updates on the release.
