Former The Great British Bake Off star Sue Perkins, 51, and Naked Attraction presenter Anna Richardson, 50, are said to have separated last week, according to a new report. The pair first began dating in 2014 after meeting at a Halloween party, following Anna’s split from her boyfriend of 18 years Charles Martin.

According to reports, the couple are said to be “devastated” over their decision to part ways.

Anna is best known for fronting Channel 4’s extreme dating show Naked Attraction since 2016.

Sue previously presented Bake Off alongside her comedy pal Mel Geidroyc for six years.

A source has told The Sun: “It’s really sad. Both Anna and Sue are devastated.

“We’re all hoping they can patch things up and sort out their differences but for now it appears to be all over.”

Express.co.uk has contacted representatives for Sue Perkins for comment while Anna Richardson’s reps declined to comment.

Sue was last mentioned by Anna on her Instagram grid while celebrating her 50th in September, when the former filmed the occasion in view of her girlfriend’s 41,600 followers.

Speaking to the camera, she began: “Hello everybody. I’m here with my family.”

At the small celebration was Anna’s parents, her sister-in-law, and her brother.

After making the introductions, she went on: “That’s Sue Perkins behind the camera and it’s my 50th birthday.”

As she cut into her birthday cake she urged Sue to give her thoughts on her mother’s homemade offering.

“What do we think Sue?” Anna joked. “Lovely crumbs, soggy bottom.”

Sue replied: “Good crumbs.”

The Naked Attraction star also shared another post of the pair back in March 2020 while playing around at home.

And Anna uploaded a video of the pair bringing in the New Year months before on holiday together.

She has previously opened up about her relationship with Sue and revealed her desire to become a parent.

“For some time I’ve toyed with the idea of fostering or adopting a child,” Anna explained.

“I can only speak for myself, not Sue, but I really want to do the training [to foster] and welcome a child into my life.”

She continued to HELLO! magazine: “I feel keenly that I’m getting older, that time is running out.

“With the Covid-19 pandemic on top of this, it’s focused my mind on the things I still want to do.”

The small-screen star also spoke about life in lockdown with Sue and confessed that the pair had taken up online poker as well as cooking and crafting.

Anna said: “Sue’s a fantastic cook and her vegetarian curries are legendary.

“She’s showed me how to knit, too. While I make a chunky pink scarf, she crochets a baby blanket for a friend. It’s like going back to the 1950s where we’re at home cooking, gardening and making things.”

In an unearthed interview, Anna had explained she found it “tricky” to deal with Sue’s Bake Off fame.

She described the pair as “just two middle-aged girls toshing about the flat”.

“When we are out and people do the whole hysteria thing about Bake Off. That can be tricky,” Anna added to Diva magazine.

Sue has previously described Anna as “less chaotic” in the relationship than herself.

Speaking to The Guardian, the former Bake Off star said of Anna: “She is much less chaotic than me and has done quite a lot to still the gyroscope of my whirring brain.”

Anna also dished on the couple’s first meeting where she branded the moment “memorable”.

“That night was one of the most extraordinary, memorable evenings where literally the planets aligned. Something was in the air that night, and that was the night we got together,” Anna said.

“There was an absolute understanding between us, and we’ve been together ever since. And it’s been profound for me.”
