Olympian Sharron Davies left ‘shaken’ after her Land Rover burst into fire that could have spread to her house

Olympian Sharron Davies has revealed her horror at discovering her land rover had burned to a cinder in an accidental fire.

The BBC pundit, 56, took to Twitter to share a photo of her vehicle after the fire had been put out and revealed that firefighters believe it was caused by an electrical fault.

She wrote: ‘Trying to get hold of Land Rover. This is what’s left of my car!!!

Sharron went on to say that she was ‘shaken’ by the incident and thanked the firefighters who also saved her house from getting caught in the fire.

She wrote: ‘They saved our house from going up. Very scary… & very unhappy with a car less than three years old.

Sharron also wrote to Land Rover’s Twitter account after the incident. 

She said: ‘Your customer service centre number doesn’t work & Reading Land Rover where I bought my car less than 3yrs ago wouldn’t pick up their phone for two hours (had me on hold three times during that period) even though advertised as open – NO HELP when needed.’

It was reported Sharron was looking for love on dating app Tinder and had shaved 11 years off her age for her profile. 

The Olympic swimmer’s representatives insisted the profile was a fake, saying, ‘It’s not Sharron, it’s an imposter.’

‘Sharron is not on Tinder and knows there are a few people imitating her’, her representative confirmed to MailOnline.
