Royal fans have spotted a sweet moment where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recreated a moment from their magical 2011 wedding day.

The couple visited Westminster Abbey this week to pay tribute to the victims of the Covid-19 pandemic. And as Kate and William walked down the aisle of the church after paying their respects, fans noticed that the couple mirrored their walk down the aisle after their 2011 wedding day.

Next month marks ten years since the couple tied the knot on 29th April 2011. Since then, they’ve gone on to have three gorgeous children; George, seven, Charlotte, five, and Louis, two.

Their wedding venue has become a vaccination centre and therefore now plays a huge part in the fight against Coronavirus.

On social media, fans couldn’t help but notice the similarities between the picture of the Cambridge’s wedding day and their visit to the Abbey this week.

Putting the photos side by side, one fan wrote: “A beautiful memory of the wedding day of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Church I'm sure when they looked at each other, they remembered.”

Another added: “In 2011 Catherine arrived at the Westminster Abbey as Miss Catherine Middleton. Today, ten years later she’s walking down the same aisle as HRH The Duchess of Cambridge.”

Another wrote: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge today at Westminster Abbey, the exact same place and the exact same hall they walked almost ten years ago when they got married.”

The Duchess of Cambridge, 39, wore a stylish off-white knee-length coat dress along with a tanned pair of court heels and matching clutch bag as she stepped out with her husband.

Kate and William, 38, both wore face coverings as they visited the vaccination centre at Westminster Abbey on the one year anniversary of the lockdown.

Meanwhile, William wore a smart navy suit along with a white shirt, brown tie and black shoes as he walked alongside his wife.

The couple exchanged a loving look as they walked together during the visit.

Kate and William were accompanied by the Dean of Westminster Reverend Dr David Hoyle and Clerk Paul Baumann as they paid tributes to those involved in the vaccine roll out.

The visit comes a year to the day that the nation was plunged into the first national lockdown amid the pandemic.

Kate and William’s wedding venue is now helping with the vaccination effort as they are giving jabs to 2,000 people a week in Poet’s Corner at Westminster Abbey.

The couple’s visit came as The Queen sent a bouquet of flowers to the medical staff who treated her husband Prince Philip to share her gratitude, after the 99 year old was released from hospital last week.

Alongside the stunning bouquet of flowers, 94 year old Queen Elizabeth shared a message.

It read: “As we look forward to a brighter future together, today we pause to reflect on the grief and loss that continues to be felt by so many people and families, and pay tribute to the immeasurable service of those who have supported us all over the last year.”
