Lily Allen credits Covid for saving relationship
Lily Allen wowed the crowds outside the Duke of York Theatre on Tuesday in a see-through chainmail dress, exposing her black bra and pants underneath.
The 38-year-old singer, who paired her outfit with towering platform heels, and accessorised with chunky silver rings, left little to the imagination as she posed for a seemingly impromptu photoshoot.
She appeared to be in high spirits, smiling brightly despite earlier admitting her schedule is so hectic that she hasn’t spoken to her children in two weeks.
Her role in The Pillowman is her latest venture in the acting world, following her show-stopping performances as Jenny in 2:22 A Ghost Story last year.
Lily is starring as Katurian in the show, described on its website as “the first major revival of Martin McDonagh’s electrifying and savagely funny Olivier award-winning play”.

The site goes on to explain: “In a totalitarian state, a writer is questioned by the authorities about a spate of murders that bear similarities to her short stories. Is this life imitating art or something more sinister?
“This black comedy, widely regarded as one of the greatest plays of the past 25 years, examines the role of the artist in society and asks what price do we pay for freedom of expression?”
Meanwhile, Lily took to This Morning to share her feelings about the role with the world recently.
Appearing alongside co-star Steve Pemberton, she teased: “There’s a bit of violence in it. She’s an artist and writer and that’s something I relate to. She definitely pushes boundaries. There was a lot for me to tap into.”

The singer, who has toured constantly in the past, added: “I really like the routine of it all [at the theatre]. I love being in one place. It’s nice not to get on a bus and move to the next destination.”
However, the downside to being in London is that it has taken her away from her kids, who are in NYC, where she lives with her husband David Harbour.
Meanwhile, as well as being thousands of miles away from them, Lily confided that it has been two weeks since she’s had a catch-up with them too.
Speaking emotionally of 11-year-old Ethel and 10-year-old Marnie – daughters she shares with former husband Sam Cooper – she admitted she was feeling a little lonely.
“Hello Monday. 1 month to go of The Pillowman,” she told her two million Instagram followers in her update.
“Missing home, missing my bubbas who are both at summer camp, haven’t even spoken to them for 2 weeks!
“Tired and lonely but the Banya always manages to get my blood going and lift my spirits,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, her daring chainmail dress is quite a radical departure from the full-length maxi dresses she has frequently been seen in recently, as she continues to embrace London life.
