I’m A Celebrity fans confused as campmate goes ‘missing’ – and it’s not Olivia Attwood

Fans ofI'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!have been left confused after one campmate appeared to go "missing" – and it wasn't the recently departed Olivia Attwood.

Olivia was forced to quit the show just 24 hours after the first episode aired when a mystery medical issue left her requiring further tests, leaving the I'm A Celeb medical team ruling that it was unsafe for her to return to the jungle.

Her absence was noticeable in the jungle, but so apparently was Sue Cleaver's. Fans of the 59 year old actress, best-known for playing Eileen Grimshaw on Coronation Street, felt she wasn't getting enough airtime.

A lot of the programme's focus was instead on the likes of Mike Tindall rapping to 90s music, Babatunde Aleshe cracking out funny one-liners, or Owen Warner, who took part in a challenge with Jill Scott.

People took to Twitter to voice their frustration about Sue's lack of airtime, as they implored the hit ITV show to show off more of her.

One person wrote: "I wanna see the legend that is @Sue _Cleaver #ImACeleb, whilst a second added: "I didn't even realise Sue from Corrie was in the jungle she hasn't said much today I hope they give her more airtime #ImACeleb."

A third tweeted: "Where the hell have they hidden our Sue? #imaceleb," whilst a fourth wrote: "You near forget Sue Cleaver is there. #ImACeleb."

A fifth added: "Why is Owen getting all the airtime. Please, where is Sue Cleaver? #imaceleb."

Before entering the jungle, Sue revealed why – after years of being asked to do the show – she finally took the plunge.

She said: "I've always said no, not me. No, I'd never do this.

"Then, I think with the pandemic, we all had a lot of time on our hands. It sort of changed a lot of stuff for me and then I was 59 in September, and I just thought you know what, I really want to get out of my comfort zone.

"And you know, just push myself and do something that I would never normally do. So that's why I'm doing it."

Sue also said that she was looking forward to people getting to know the real her, and not just her character Eilieen, who she's played on Corrie for a staggering 22 years.

She explains: "It will be interesting for them – and for me as well – for people to see me outside of my character, but they'll get a glimpse of the real Sue in a very strange situation.

"So maybe you know, not the Sue that you'd see at home even."

Sue has already showed off her balls of steel as she competed in the first task prior to the jungle alongside Mike Tindall and Owen Warner.

She was composed and unfazed as she had to fish eyeballs out of various tubs filled with creepy crawlies.
