Luke started off the workout tutorial with an exercise he labelled ‘The Hostage’.
‘What I want you to do is keep your chest up, weight on your heels and go into a deep squat. You’re going to stay in the lower half of this squat and stay in a pulsing motion,’ he explained.
The next motion was ‘The Mountain Climb’ and requires the back and abs to be tensed for maximum impact.
After laying down in a push-up position Luke brought each knee up to his chest in a slow running motion.

In a challenge to both flexibility and core strength, he introduced the ‘Plank Walk’, which involves walking his hands from a standing position to a push-up stance before returning and repeating the exercise.
Luke’s fourth exercise, ‘The Windmill Push-up’, has multiple levels of difficultly to help people adjust as their body gets stronger.
‘I want you in a push-up position, keep your back straight and then take one hand off the mat and rotate up slowly to where you feel comfortable, and then swap sides,’ he said.

Luke said this exercise can be done on the knees, and also advised that people should only rotate their arm back as far as is comfortable.
The last of the five exercises was a series of burpees.
‘In a standing position, I want you to bend down and put your arms either side of your feet. Jumping back with your foot, I want you to go into a push-up position and keep your core tight,’ he explained.
The Hollywood trainer added that a push-up can be performed while on the ground before returning to the original standing position.
