The reality star appeared to imply she had received negative comments about her pregnancy. Tweeting her 2,100 followers, she said: “FYI – not that this should matter! I am not 18 I am 29 and my baby does have a father, but I wish to keep that side of my life private. If a young woman has children from an accidental pregnancy they do not deserve to be s**t shamed by anyone especially other women,” the Gogglebox star added.
“I’m just too happy and busy for s**t like that,” she said, quipping: “My main concern right now is why I do not have pancakes?”
Helena subsequently received several supportive messages from fans of the show, with one saying: “You’re so right what has it got to do with other women that you want to keep it private?
“It has nothing to do with anyone else I think you’re going to be such a good mam.”
“I’d imagine there’s a lot we don’t know about the Gogglebox family behind the scenes,” another said. “Lots of you lovely lot have babies and partners we know nothing about.. how rude to assume anything!
“Congrats on the having a baby in our tum news though! What a fabbo mum to have!”(sic)
Gogglebox star Helena also replied to one fan asking if she had been “getting grief” on social media.
“Just one bad egg,” she clarified. “I wish them all the best, it must be hard or them being a jerk. Haha.”
Helena can regularly be seen commenting on the week’s TV with her mum and dad on the series.
They are one of several families and friends who make up the cast of Gogglebox.
Many of the stars of the show choose to engage with fans on social media and, earlier this month, fan favourites Dave and Shirley entertained their 18,000 followers with a hilarious picture of their pet pooch.
Sharing a snap of the French Bulldog looking decidedly impressed as he rest his face on Dave’s leg, they joked: “Now about this Brexit.”
And flocked to the comments section to share their reactions to the fund post, with one saying: “That’s exactly how I feel about it. B****y fed up of it.”
“How I’m feeling, another agreed, while a third chimed in: “Being French, has he got to apply for residency?”
When one Gogglebox fan commented on what a “beaut”(sic) the dog was, Dave replied: “He’s got a jib on there. He is a good looker normally.”
“Haha bless him he is gorgeous Dave,” they insisted.
Gogglebox continues tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
