Drake’s controversial Beatles tattoo puts the rapper on Abbey Road, irking Fab Four fans

Drake’s new Beatles tattoo isn’t going down fabulously with fans of the famed British band.

The fan site @WordOnRd featured the new tattoo Aug. 9, noting that on Meek Mill’s single “Goin Bad,” Drake famously remarked “I got more slaps than The Beatles.”

Now there’s a permanent record.

The Canadian rapper’s left arm shows the new, controversial ink — Drake as the fifth Beatle, standing ahead of the late John Lennon in the famed Abbey Road crosswalk shot.

Drake’s backed up the words by dismantling Beatles records. Rolling Stone points out that in July 2018, the rapper had seven songs in the top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100, breaking the Beatles’ previous record of five songs.

Three months later, Drake also broke the record for most Hot 100 top 10 songs in a single year, overtaking the Beatles’ 1964 achievement. In June, Drake passed the band for second-most top 10 songs in the history of the Hot 100.

The rapper also has random tattoo ink representing a jack-o-lantern, Aaliyah, Denzel Washington, a flaming skull, Rihanna eating ice cream along with basketball stars Steph Curry and Kevin Durant.

But Beatles fans took exception to the latest work.

“The Beatles have more number 1 singles, sold more music than anybody in history have more number 1 albums than anybody in history. Still sells millions each year and achieved this a without streaming! The only way he’ll beat The Beatles is in his own mind!” wrote one Twitter user.
