Ryan,Scott and Adam Thomas’ dad Dougie James has passed away, BBC Radio Manchester has reported.
The ‘70s soul star Dougie, who was the lead singer of Dougie James And The Soul Train, had tributes pour in on social media after it was reported.
BBC Manchester's Mike Shaft lead the tributes to Dougie as he said: “He played all over the north west, in those days when they were playing places like Golden Garter they'd have bands on, an American band and then Dougie James.
“Wonderful guy, always a smile on his face. Always a happy story. Very sad news.”

The 72 year old’s cause of death has not been confirmed.
He leaves behind Ryan, 36, and twin sons Adam and Scott, both 32, who went on a tour around Mumbai with their father last year.
Tributes from fans began pouring in on social media.
One wrote: “Dougie James. An immortal soul that entertained us for decades … thank you so much for your true contribution to my life, my soul, my dance moves, joy and spectacular forever to be remembered evenings … Bless you xx”.
Another added: “RIP Dougie James Sending all my love to Ryan, Scott and Adam Broken heart So sorry for your loss xxx” followed by broken heart emoji.
While a third said: “Really sad news today the legend that is Dougie james has passed away, one if Englands greatest singer entertainers. We had some great times with Alex”hurricane higgins” and bought so much pleasure to so many people, he will be greatly missed. RIP DOUGIE”. [sic
At the height of his fame, Dougie toured with The Jackson Five.
Last year Adam, Ryan and Scott went on an emotional journey around India to explore their roots, in ITV Absolutely India: Mancs In Mumbai, which aired earlier this year.
Former Emmerdale actor Adam, 32, opened up about his relationship with his dad, who was absent throughout some of their childhood, and how they confronted issues during the journey.

Speaking to Star TV mag Ryan’s brother Adam said at the time: “My dad left us for years when we were younger and then he came back into our lives and we never really talked about it.
“There were a lot of unanswered questions, which we touched on and I think we needed to. It got quite emotional.”
And Scott added: “It was unbelievable – we’ll never get that again. Even just three sons, as adults, spending time with their dad, is rare.
“Also my dad is 72 now, but he’s quite an old 72, he’s lived his life, so in a way we all saw this as our last little journey with our dad, which is quite sad, but it was so special.”
But, Ryan revealed the trip brought everyone closer together as he told new! magazine: “It was an intense month without any distractions other than us. It could have gone disastrously wrong, but it went the other way.”
